Adobe Commerce 2.4.6 Updates

300+ Updates to improve your Webstore

Adobe commerce is releasing version 2.4.6, which includes almost 300 updates to enhance platform performance and eliminate issues. While not all updates are required, they will improve the quality of your ecommerce store and allow it to work more efficiently.

Adobe Commerce 2.4.6 highlights

  • Platform Enhancement

    Adobe commerce now supports PHP 8.2 and 8.1. Adobe commerce 2.4.6-beta2 now also utilizes OpenSearch as its default search engine for cloud deployments and Commerce on-premises. The new version is compatible with ElasticSearch 8.x, Composer 2.2.x, and MariaDB 10.6 (LTS version) and 10.4. 

    Other upgrades include updated JavaScript libraries, migration of DHL schema from v6.2 to v10.0, upgraded Symfony dependencies to the new LTS version.

  • Security enhancements

    Adobe commerce 2.4.6 has released eight security fixes and improvements. To ensure security, it is recommended to take measures such as using VPN, good password hygiene, using a unique location rather than /admin, two-factor authentication, and IP allow listing. Adobe’s Security Bulletin provides the latest information on fixed issues and security updates. The update also includes security enhancements such as reCAPTCHA that won’t fail during checkout, and improved monitoring of Admin action logs.

  • Performance and scalability enhancements
    The import process has been improved, allowing merchants to use the CSV file format to remove, create, and update details related to product, pricing, and customer entries using the POST /rest//V1/import/CSV REST API endpoint in Adobe Commerce.
  • B2B Operations
    The Purchase Order for organizations are now available through GraphQL API which includes two graphic schemas.
  • Adobe Commerce integration with Adobe IMS
    The following Adobe IMS modules have been removed 
      • admin-adobe-ims
      • adobe-ims
      • adobe-ims-api
  • PWA Studio & Page Builder
    The new version of Adobe Commerce 2.4.6 with its numerous upgrades to improve accessibility, is compatible with PWA Studio v.13.0.x.
